Abstract

The last few years have brought discoveries and scientific advances that have helped different categories of professionals and social spheres. Displacing mistaken concepts and bringing knowledge to support everyday life. So it has not been different in education that has known new problems, understood old ones, and had a tool for solving others. As the case of ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Theoretically old problem, but which had theoretical advances in recent years, extinguishing the possibility of disease, but defined as a disorder that interferes in several areas, but mainly in learning. Therefore, the objective was to alleviate the process of symptoms, identification and scope of the disorder, as well as its treatments, in addition to the role of the school in this process. Thus, through extensive bibliographical research, data survey and studies in medical literature, an overview of the subject and the importance of psychopedagogy for it was created. Understanding how the disorder interferes with all stages of human life and needs to be understood as surmountable, with the family and school as the main daily agents in this process. The results imply prejudice and poor collaboration of agents in the formation of an adult life affected by ADHD, contrasting to the positive effect of the family and, in this specific case, of teachers in the possibility of a functional adult life.
