Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The SMR accepts only original articles, not published in other journals. We accept articles presented at events, provided that this information is made available by the authors.

 

The standards for formatting and preparation of originals are:

- Maximum of 20 pages:

- Languages allowed:  Portuguese, English and, Spanish;

- Authorship: maximum of 8 authors per article:

- Arial font size 12, line spacing 1.5;

- Figures and Tables should appear together with the text, editable, in font 10, both for the content and for the title (which should come just above the graphic elements) and font (which should come just below the graphic element).

- Title in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, at the beginning of the file, with source 14;

- Abstract or resumén, along with keywords and palabras clave, with simple spacing, just below the title;

- The references must follow the Associação Brasileira de Normas Tecnicas [ABNT] norms.

- The submitted file should not contain the identification of the authors.

 

Publication fee:

- This journal does not charge a submission fee;

- This journal charges the publication of papers, in the amount of: R$ 290 per paper to be published.
